Simon J. Mariani's Heart of a Champion Scholarship
About the Scholarship
The Simon J. Mariani Foundation will provide worthy graduating seniors; male or female, with scholarship monies to continue a post-secondary education to those who will be attending either a college or university; the military or a vocational trade school.
The Simon J. Mariani Foundation Scholarship Committee, which oversees the scholarship fund, requires that the following criteria be met (in addition to the above) before awarding these scholarship(s), specifically:
- Prospective scholarship recipient should have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (B average) or better and be recognized by the school community as an individual of leadership and character and who exhibits Simon’s Heart of a Champion; and
- Be a graduating senior who has been accepted to a post-secondary institution and will be attending either a college or university; the military or a vocational trade school.
About Simon
Simon J. Mariani, from Franklin Lakes, NJ, attended Bergen County Academies (BCA) in Hackensack for four years and graduated in June of 2015. Simon exhibited both an exemplary work ethic and commitment and excelled both academically and athletically in his BCA years. Simon’s enthusiasm and effort in everything he did, personally and professionally exhibited the Heart of a Champion.
Simon attended and graduated from the University of Notre Dame (South Bend, IN) cum laude, where in 2019 he received undergraduate degrees in both Accounting and Economics. He worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for 3 years and earned his CPA before returning to the University of Notre Dame, where in 2024 he received a Master’s in Finance (MBA) magna cum laude. Driven, dedicated, smart, likeable and exceptionally talented, Simon worked as an Associate at MTS Health Partners in NYC, where he was respected and admired by colleagues for his intellect, integrity, teamwork, sense of humor and strong work ethic.
Application Process
- Interested students shall submit completed applications to the Foundation using the online scholarship application form below or downloading the application and sending it to info@simonjmarianifoundation.org on or before May 15 annually.
- The Simon J. Mariani Foundation Scholarship Committee shall review, meet and make their decisions on or before June 1, annually, and thereafter coordinate with appropriate school administration and selected successful scholarship recipients for notification and awarding of the scholarships at the Senior Awards ceremony in June annually.
